August 2009 - NC, a busy Guild!
KOR Blimey, what a palaver!!What a fantastic time NC has being having over summer, so many people have picked up those flying moth eaten rats that it's embarrassing to even mention it, it seems to be the latest Wizard and Mage fashion item, which explains everything I'd say.. anyroad, this guy drops these rats.. frequently:  What's in the box? However, flying rat kills aside, we have been busy, very busy, it all started one evening with a merry little stroll into Korafax, looking for some Paladins, well, Palsomethingorother, and, in true NC style we found what we were looking for...  You know, this really doesn't look like a paladin to me. Well, it turned out it wasn't, and it wasn't particularly keen on giving out heals to wizards either (maybe it was a paladin after all) We decided to regroup, made some assumptions: (a) it won't be healing us, (b) it hits hard and (c) we might need to concentrate, you know, run invis, follow raid instructions, that kind of thing - and he bit the dirt. It seemed straight forward enough, NC being NC point (c) tends to be our "strongest" point, /cough /evac, and on we travelled. Next stop was the Venom Lordess (Aka Clearmoon), who really looked pretty rough, I guess Guild Leading this bunch of rowdy rebels would turn anyone grey, but at least get a hair cut woman!  Clearmoon and her bad hair day After the experimental raid wipe, it's a tradition, after all, he died, a terrible terrible death and seemed to spawn a ton of frogs..  Hissa has been out with the pills again But we're not finished, oh no, there's more to do on this event and we're a determined guild, being a friendly kind of place we do take raiding very seriously and we succeed where so many others fail. Undaunted by the task ahead it was on to the Mindshear. For those of you that have encountered this tasty bit of fun, you'll realise how important positioning and Audio Triggers are. For those of you that raid with NC in this encounter, you'll realise how loudly Dane shouts in this event. For those of you that raided those nights, I hope you'll recover soon, and to Dane, be happy I was dead (by your hands) and couldn't take screenshots! Really, if you concentrate, listen to instructions, do as you are told, move when you are supposed to, follow the MA, run away from the raid at the right time, ask for cures at the right time, change mobs at the right time, run to the right mob at the right time, don't stand in the middle, don't stand too close, don't stand too far away, don't stand over "there", don't stand on one leg, don't taunt your healer, don't nuke the mezzed mobs and generally kill the right thing at the right time, it's a straightforward event...  Are we supposd to hit this one or go FD or "LD"? Add all of this to a very successful Giants, Giants, Giants run and you'll see we're rocking and rolling! All in all a very productive couple of weeks, despite it being summer NC continues to thrive! And if you're interested in joining our fine guild, and honestly, who wouldn't be?
